PHOTOSHOP BLENDING MODES AND LAYER STYLES
Retro Boy |
Work in Progress:
Layer styles:
Working Process:
My teacher gave us a picture of a boy. He wanted us to change the blending modes by using photoshop. I tried to make it look retro by using colours and a blur in the corners of the picture. After that I worked on layer styles with my name. The use pattern overlay, drop shadow, outer glow and stroke it made my name look 3D and much cooler than before. We learned how to make shapes with photoshop by coping "the flaming lips" and how to colour them. We used multiply layers so they overlay.

ZINE
I made a zine, it's a small easy produced book. I came up for the ideas for this particular Zine just from my own head which were based on my past.

MANUAL 'HOW TO MAKE A SKETCHBOOK'
WORK IN PROGRESS:
Colour the stuff (see Scalpel)
Resize an object (writing of stitching)
Change the Levels
I made a manual for how to make a handmade sketchbook. Every one in my class made their own sketchbook, where we can draw any ideas that come up our minds into. To make this manual I first drew all of the steps out, scanned it into Adobe Photoshop where I edited it. I learnt how to use the different tools in Photoshop.

I searched for a heart on the web and pasted it into photoshop. I then edited each heart to a different colour and used it for my poem. |
I used a bride an a bridegroom on their wedding from the web and cut the background so I could just use the bridal couple. |
I copied some of the original parts of the picture and pasted them. I made the picture longer so it could fit onto my paper. |

SMALL PRESS ANALYSIS
I drew a comic in the style of John Porcellino's small press. I used a different titel, "king of hearts comics and stories" instead of "king cat comics and stories"
My envelope with my small press in:
I did some research on John Porcellino who the whole theme was based on.
